What should I do if I get an email from Electronic Bill Payment Support?

If you get an email from Electronic Bill Payment Support (from the email address, do not be alarmed. This is a legitimate email sent by STCU's billpay system for various reasons, such as in cases where a payment was unsuccessful in reaching its destination. If you've received an email like this, please review the email as it will provide important information to you. In most cases we recommend that you work directly with the payee to whom the funds were sent.

Subject: Regarding: Important Information Regarding Your ABC Company Payment

Dear John Smith,

We tried to process your payment to ABC Company for $50.00 on 11/25/2012, but it was returned to our processing center due to an invalid account number. The payment has been credited back to your funding account. Please allow 2 to 3 business days for the refund to post to your account.

If you have any questions regarding this return, please work directly with your payee.  You will need to update your payee information before scheduling a new payment.
